Launching Our New Website: Reflecting Growth at Spaceflux

We are introducing the new, redesigned spaceflux.io. The new site is a reflection of how Spaceflux is growing and evolving to better serve our customers and partners. As the company has matured, we felt it was time for our online presence to grow with us.

The new site, created in collaboration with the renowned design studio Hello Monday, is also a preview of further updates across our platform this year.

A Story of Rapid Growth

Just over three years ago, Spaceflux began as a conversation between three founders in a London pub. We launched our first Cortex system and deployed five sensors within five months of starting in October 2022. By March 2023, we had secured our first UK government contract and expanded into commercial operations. Along the way, we participated in leading accelerators such as Creative Destruction Lab, SpaceFounders, and Seraphim, which supported us in our rapid growth.

Today, we’re a 30+ person team operating across multiple countries. Our global telescope network spans five continents, and we’ve secured multimillion-dollar contracts with both government and commercial customers. This journey has laid a strong foundation for continuous innovation.

The new website reflects how far we’ve come. It’s sharper, easier to navigate, and designed to clearly present our technology, products, and the capabilities of Cortex. It runs smoothly on desktop — and also looks great on mobile, where most of you explore what we’re building.

Just the beginning

This launch is more than a visual update – it marks Spaceflux’s emergence as a leader in space domain awareness, built on our technology, speed, and reliability. We remain committed to delivering fast, clear insights to governments, commercial operators, and partners around the world.

If you look closely, you’ll spot hints of what’s next for Cortex. A refreshed user interface is coming this autumn, bringing the same clean, direct design to the platform itself. We can’t wait to share it with both existing and new Spaceflux customers.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped bring the new site to life. We hope it gives you a better view into what we do, and where we’re going next.

Advancing UK’s Planetary Defence: Spaceflux Network Joins UKSA’s Asteroid Monitoring Efforts

The vastness of space holds countless wonders—and potential hazards. With over 31,000 Near-Earth Objects (NEOs) currently catalogued and hundreds more discovered each month, the need for robust monitoring systems has never been more critical. Today, we’re proud to announce that Spaceflux’s global observation network is now part of the UK Space Agency’s (UKSA) contribution to the International Asteroid Warning Network (IAWN).

Navigating the Fallout: A Case Study on Spaceflux’s Role in Tracking the Intelsat 33E Fragmentation

At 04:30 UTC on 19th October 2024, the geostationary communications satellite Intelsat 33E (IS-33e) experienced a catastrophic failure, resulting in its fragmentation in geostationary orbit (GEO). Spaceflux played a pivotal role in responding to this event as the first commercial entity to publicly announce the anomaly and providing critical tracking data to government and commercial clients. This post explores the event, Spaceflux’s response, and its significance for space operations.

The Spaceflux Story: Fast Track Journey to SSA Leadership

A little more than two years. That is how much time it took us to grow from three founders with an idea at a pub in London to a company with 30 team members, 15 telescope locations across five continents, offices in two countries and multimillion contracts.
